Today is one of those days where every single little thing that could possibly go wrong went wrong. Having difficulty fighting jetlag, I woke up at 6am and decided to go work early and to catch up a bit. My car battery was already dead since I came back from vacation, motorcycle was my only means. Guess what, its battery died on me too.

Messaged my colleague and he picked me up for work. Little did I know that it's a rough day ahead. Bugs were welcoming my return to Marvell. 3 bugs were filed for me. Particularly there was one so serious that it's affecting the previous tapeout and they decided to de-feature certain function because of that. I felt bad for my immediate boss and my team. It's in fact a very basic functionality bug that I overlooked. Not sure if I am going to be yelled at when the VP is back. Mind you, our VP is famous for that. My mind was so exhausted at the end of the day.

After work i went to Walmart to get my battery replacement. Never a mechanical inclined, it actually took me some effort to take it out and put it back in. Everything seems fine. My colleague and I went for dinner in milpitas. As if my day wasn't bad enough, the waiter knock down a cup of hot tea on my lap. Fortunately I was wearing jeans. It could have been worse.

New battery was supposed to work like magic so I thought but it didn't. It died on Milpitas highway but luckily my friend was there to give me a jumpstart. Worse, it stalled again when i reached my apartment and was about to position it for parking. My trustworthy friend came back for rescue again. Right now I am thinking either the new battery is bad or there's something else broken in the car.
