After spending all these years in the US, I am still pretty much a FOB. If there's one thing that signifies myself being americanized, that has to be me watching NFL. Again, if i weren't studying in Pittsburgh, if Pittsburgh doesn't have a strong team, I probably still don't know what american football is. Last Sunday was Superbowl sunday. That's right! Steelers did it again, and they won it in style, beating Arizona Cardinals 27-23. The whole game was so exciting that it makes soccer game lackluster. Now I started to understand why Americans don't give a shit to soccer. In a way american football is more powerful, action-packed and entertaining. At least it won't be a boring 90 minutes 0-0 game, which is rather common in soccer game. Last sunday superbowl we witnessed a record breaking 100-yard touchdown by steelers' James Harrison:

That's an awesome teamwork right there, great blocking and great bullish run of a 250 lbs big guy.

When the game entered the 4th quarters with about 3 minutes left, steelers were leading 20-16, and just when I thought steelers had sealed the deal, out of sudden Cardinals performed a 50-yard touchdown on a pass-over and lead 23-20. It's ugly for steelers and I bet all the CMU ppl were shouting OMG all over. They needed a touchdown in less than 3 minutes and they did it! I haven't been following football that much but they said this superbowl was one of the greatest. Go steelers! I regretted not watching a single live football game in Pittsburgh.

So to keep the sport adrenaline going, the following monday I went to Oracle Arena for NBA, Oakland Warriors vs San Antonio Spurs. No doubt warriors is shitty. I was here last year watching Houston Rockets (Yao Ming!!) beating the crap out of Warriors. That was a one-sided boring game so I was really not looking forward to an exciting game this time. I am not a basketball fans either but my friend got the ticket cheap for only $15 so why not.

Nevertheless, the game turned out to be pretty exciting. You get more when you expect less. In fact for most of the time Warriors were leading but eventually they lost steam. Coupled with the half-time cheerleading hot chic, the game definitely worth my $15:)
