And here I am back in California after 3 weeks of vacation. The feeling of leaving Penang has never been a pleasant one. The more i think about it, the notion of me going back home for good is getting more appealing. Perhaps in 2011.
This 3 weeks got to be my most productive vacation ever:
First of all, I had a quite relaxing trip to vietnam with my high school buddy. Having seen the living condition/standard in vietnam, I learned to appreciate Malaysia more. Here in Malaysia, we have better transportation, better air quality, better food, better education, better currency power, better looking ladies. No matter what my friends said, I still think Penang girls are prettier than vietnamese chicks.

Followed by Cheng Beng. I couldn't remember the last time i did this at my ancestors' graveyard, maybe 10 years ago? Apart from paying respect to those passed away, it's also a family day to connect with your immediate and distant relatives.
It was a great day with the company of my mischevious cousins. This little cutie is my youngest cousin, our age gap is like 24 yrs? argh i am getting old.

Then the house purchase thingy. It only took us about a week time to close the deal. It could be a rushing decision but I think it's a good one. Having said so, i am now for the first time bearing a financial burden. If things work as planned, a large portion of the mortgage should be paid off 2 years from now. Maybe it's about time to think what kind of dog I should get? Hehe

And the most random thing was my visit to Penang snake temple. It was definitely a sudden whim. In fact my whole family went there and we took a touristy family photo. When was the last time 5 of us visiting some places together? Really, the opportunity doesn't come as often when the parents are getting old while siblings are busy with their own lives. Worse if kids are working oversea:(

Last but not least, I met bunch of old friends this time. And I met her again.
