I considered myself an relatively safe driver/rider. Ever since I obtained my motorcycle/driving license in Malaysia, things have been going pretty well, i.e. no accident so far (touch wood). As far as i remember, there's only one incident that could possibly kill me which happened at the intersection of Tasman Dr and Fair Oaks, a spot that i pass by everyday on the way home. I was on Tasman, waiting for green left turn signal into Fair Oaks. Upon seeing a green I made a left and to my horror, there was a car coming from the opposite site of Tasman, honking me like crazy and almost hit me. I quickly realized that the green light wasn't meant for the left turn, it was a green to go straight on Tasman. Thank God it was a narrow escape.

As for riding, I admit that sometimes it's really hard to resist going fast. After all, it's really not that fun to ride 40mph on a 600+cc bike. You might as well go with scooter. Having said that, I consciously and constantly remind myself to go slow, especially on the turns. So far it works out well for me.

People have been saying that sooner or later you gonna drop your bike. I didn't drop my previous Kriss II and have yet dropped my sv650s while riding (again touch wood). Nonetheless, when many many people said the same thing, it must be true.

My bike is down!! ARgh! Seriously I don't know what happened. I doubt it's pushed down by people. It more looks like the kick-stand failed. Or maybe it was too windy, and the bike cover trapped the wind which subsequently dragged it down. The frame sliders and the bike cover saved most of the fairings but there are still little scratches. The horn came loose. The handle bar and clutch level bent a little. The worst part is that, it doesn't start anymore. It buffles me because there's no apparent damage to the engine. Let's worry about that later:)

I was not sure if I can lift up the 380lbs bike by myself so I called my friend for help. There's a risk of lifting it up one side and drop it on the other side.

Here's my friend making some fun. Man it's so stress out to see a clean bike dropped but why not have some fun in a bitter situation (苦中作乐). Think about it, if a rider is destined to drop his bike sooner or later, what can be a better situation than this one?
