Time passes fast especially in this shortest month of February. Workload has been pretty crazy following a relatively tight schedule. Glad that the RTL was officially frozen last week so we can kinda take a break now. Performance review was over too. I appreciate my manager for giving me an above average review, but there's no guarantee of salary increment in view of current economic weather. I know that I should be grateful to have a job now but seriously, if there's no increment, what's the use of performance review? Workload vs compensation is certainly imbalance. Okie fine, zero increment is understandable in current situation. Rumour has it that Mrvl will no longer provide free meals maybe starting next month? Now this is absolutely bothering me because it's equivalent to pay cut:( Really there's no free lunch in this world, even zecco will stop offering free stock trades starting next month. Feeling the heat yet?

Bad thing aside, i am going back to Malaysia on 19th March for about 3 weeks. One of the week will be spent in vietnam. The anticipation of going home is always an exciting one. The flight ticket for non-peak travelling season is much cheaper, a round trip from SFO to Penang is about 900+, sweet!
