No surprises. Obama the first black president of the US. Well, it probably doesn't matter to me who won it but I am glad that election is finally over. That way my Time magazine can stop devoting half of its total pages to presidential elections which I have no interest in. Stock market has rallied quite a bit in the past few days, probably because of election. Now it's over I wonder the market will be all red again.

Today, our CEO sent out a foreboding email saying that there will be "measures" taken in the next couple days to ensure company long-term health in view of current economy slowdown. So more layoff? or no more free meals? Dang, i have been long pampered with free food. Anyway, my team right now is extremely overloaded with work so hopefully layoff, if there is any, will not affect us. Speaking of work, our CPU has recently gotten a design win from a really big name so we have a really tight schedule to catch. I am starting to worry if my team can make it for the deliverables due in December. Hopefully it won't affect my vacation schedule in March next year.

So I pretty much decided to go back home next March. Although I haven't secured a flight ticket to malaysia, i have my airasia tickets to Vietnam from KL booked. Yes, the plan is to go to Hanoi and Halong Bay on March 26 for 5 days with my high school buddy. A quick google of Halong Bay shows that it's a really scenic place.

Last friday was Halloween. I have lost interest in hardcore liquor party ever since i graduated. So instead of wearing funny custome and drinking away the night, i crafted pumpkin for the first time. And it's fun too!
