My life, other than working, has been pretty empty these days. The "hollow" feeling aggravates during weekend if I don't have any plan and just sit home whole day. Not that I like working so much but sometimes I prefer weekdays to weekend, at least I know I have something to work on weekdays.
So my friend was asking me to take a course at Stanford together with him to fill time. Not a bad idea at all to kill those wasted weekend. I realized my technical knowledge has been hitting plateau these days. Taking a course will definitely help but the problem is I am too lazy to handle the homework and study for exam:( Anyway, here's my current thought to kill free time:
1) learn guitar - not sure why i have this sudden urge of learning a musical instrument. I think it has something to do with youtube video. Those videos uploaded by users showing their piano/guitar play are so cool. But the learning process will be a stiff one though. Argh... how come my parents didn't force me to learn piano when I was young?
2) learn golf - it does look interesting to me. Especially many people around me are into it too. But historically my interest in a particular sport has been pretty short. Lets see: I gave up on swimming after 1 summer. I bought a bowling shoes which I used only twice, and not forgetting my roller-blade back in freshman year. Early last year i was enthusiastic about wall-climbing too. Then tennis and pingpong. And I stopped running after the half-marathon and haven't been to gym for almost a month now. My attention just won't stay long. Dang am I ADD? I am just worry that I buy a golf set for collecting dust. That could happen if i buy a guitar too:) Well, at least i am still loving my motorcycle now after 2 months.
3) Playing squash - finally this is something that I will always into it (karaoke too haha). I used to be quite competitive but i doubt that's the case now. But who to play with?
4) Get a gf - clearly the most efficient solution to kill my 无聊 weekend is to get a girlfriend isn't it? but from an engineering point of view, the best solution normally is the hardest to implement, right?
Lets see which way i go ... haha
Btw, i am recently hooked to 謝安琪. Defintely my favorite HK female singer after Joey Yung.
