2 weeks ago there are 2 malaysians from Penang Marvell came over to Santa Clara so i brought them visiting around on Saturday. We visited Golden Gate Bridge, Point Reyes National Seashore, and Twin Peaks at San Francisco. In fact, I haven't been to the latter two even although I am the "local" here.

Golden Gate is still the same old bridge. Why don't people call it Red Bridge? Hopefully my next half-marathon will be here. Going north 30 miles from the bridge is where Point Reyes National Seashore located. The road up the cliff is pretty winding and hence the traffic is slow that it takes like an hour to get there from Golden Bridge. There is a lighthouse built in 1870. It offers great view of, well, seashore, with huge wave hitting the rocky headlands. It's supposedly a very foggy place but the weather on that day was clear and not too cold, absolutely perfect for photos.

We managed to see some wild deers as shown in the picture above. The lighthouse was built like 300 feet below the top of the cliff, connected by a long stretch of staircases. There is a warning sign to warn those physically unfit not to go down the staircase because getting back up is quite tiring. Anyway, the view down there is actually not as good as viewing from the top.

On our way back we stopped by Twin Peaks in San Francisco. It's like Bukit Bendera in penang. When we got there it was only evening. It wasn't totally dark so we can't get the nightview of SF skyline. The view was still good but I bet it would be much better in dark, even better if it's a romantic night out.

Sometimes i wish i have a DSLR. But it's an expensive toy though. Should I ?
