I was looking for some technical stuff learnt back in college and there i found my notebook from college. Being able to tell I am a CMU alumni, whenever someone asks me where I graduated from, gives me a sense of honor and reputation. I am no bragger, it really is a great school that produces many talented people making impact in various area, especially in engineering fields.

2 week ago, an unheard company, Nextop Software Inc, approached our group, trying to sell us software that automatically generate assertions in RTL. I was quite impressed by their presentation. My manager too recognized that this tool indeed offers what we lack of and instantly set up an evaluation session with them. I am the main person who handles the evaluation process. Last week, Nextop Software AE came in. Guess what, the AE himself is the CTO of the company and he is a Phd from CMU. He co-founded Nextop and is a friend of my professor that taught me 18760 (if i remember correctly). Another founder is from CMU too. So there he was, Yuan, the CTO sitting in my cube, setting up the script and hacking up the environment to make his software work with our design. I called that the CMU style:) For the record, nextop software has been adopted by Apple, Nvidia, Broadcom and other big names.

Cheers for all the engineers in the world:

And no shit this engineer is creative
