watched jay chou latest movie "不能说的秘密". I didn't read anything about this movie, had no idea what it is about but it was surprisingly good for me. That's the whole point of this movie! Go watch yourself. It's absolutely cool when Jay Chou playing piano in the movie, which makes me regret that I don't know piano:( Come on, both my sisters play piano but why didn't my parent force me to learn it too? Never mind, my kids will have to know 2 things: swimming and music.
I was walking around circuit city. Looks like large screen LCD HDTV is becoming a must. I grew up watching 21 inch TV so anything bigger than that is good for me. It's good to grew up in a modest environment, so that right now everything I see is better than what i had, and therefore easily satisfied. I am thinking of getting a 32 inch LCD TV once my roommate move out in December. By then I will be staying single again and have more space by myself. I am not rich but sometimes I feel like my current lifestyle is overly frugal, i.e. sharing studio, NO tv, no game console, cheap used car etc. Those stuff are probably not necessary since i don't watch TV or play games but who doesn't like gadgets? I thought my income level should be able to bring me a little more comfort. Anyway, whenever i have this whim of getting something, the other side of me fights back, which explains why I am still sticking to my 4 yrs old cellphone. I believe this is the way to live: think about Africa before deciding on extra purchase. It might save you some money.
Speaking of money, I bought in some vmware. This is the most expensive per unit stock that i have so far. Given a fix amount of money, I am wondering if getting "less units of expensive stocks" or "more units of less expensive stocks" will yield higher gain. Also for the first time invested in china stocks. They tend to fluctuate like crazy so it's really like gambling.
The cat that usually shows up around my apartment disappears. I don't know what to do with this huge bag of cat food. Hope she is somehow adopted.
