I have been working in Intel for about 3 weeks now. So far everything seems pleasant. Nonetheless I kinda miss the close-knit relationship with my colleagues back in Marvell. Here in Intel I feel that upper management is a little distant away. Not sure if it's intended that way but my manager barely talks to me, let alone having lunch together. Maybe he is just super busy. At the same time I am slowly getting used to the so-called Intel Culture, i.e. tons of meeting and powerpoint slides to go through. Not necessarily a bad thing.

Prior to my return, friends were asking me what I am going to do as an engineer in Intel Malaysia. In general people have the impression that Intel here is all about manufacturing and doesn't offer much R & D opportunity. I  used to think that way too. I was wrong though. Intel PDC team is actually quite involved in R & D and technically matured. Definitely a lot more to learn from now on.
