Getting used to:

1) The weather. A friend asked me how I feel about coming back. I said hot.

2) Driving on the left. Wiper lever on the left and Signal lever on the right! And perhaps relearning the road ethics, for example straight gets the right of way at the junction in the event of traffic light breakdown (even though you see the cars have been struggling turning/crossing?). The bolder gets the right of way? Dream on the civilized way on taking turns.

3) The habit of bringing a pack of tissue paper whenever you go, because paper/napkin is normally not provided at food place (or toilet).

4) Having cash in wallet. I miss the convenience of swiping card even on a McDonald's dollar meal.

5) Checking stock market at 9.00pm.

6) Open a youtube video only to let it buffer up the data, and watch it a while later.

7) Living with family. After staying alone for so many years, it's hard not to feel restrictive, albeit just a little, to live in a house with family members. It's not that my parents impose any rules or curfew at home. It's just different. Can I still sing my lung out whenever I feel like it? I can. But will I? And I definitely missing going home late in 2am without the worries of waking other people up, or sleeping in until 12pm in the morning.

8) New friends and social circle. Or do I have one?

9) Short distance relationship? Now that we have gone through LDR, smooth cruising ahead? In LDR, it feels like everything revolves around 2 of us. It's certainly not the case now. Adding in living/social differences, SDR certainly has it own set of challenges.

Did I mention I don't see anyone wearing cap to work?
