World Cup 2010 is kicking off in South Africa now. I am not an avid soccer fans so for me it's just another topic over lunch, but for some it could be a sleep-deprived month-long marathon. The cafe at work has noticeably less crowd during lunch hour as people flock to gym to watch the live game there. Shorter queue to get food, not a bad thing:) TV Technology has improved so much for sporting events that this is the first time they are airing the games in HD 3D. But of course you have to foot a couple grands for a 3D-capable LCD in the first place. I have yet to see one. At times I feel like I am still living in the stone age, heck my cellphone can't even go online, let alone all these fancy cutting-edge gadget.

Went to Yellowstone over the memorial weekend. Oh well it was already 2 weeks ago and I don't feel like writing it anymore. There are many wildlife to see apart from the world-renowned Old-Faithful geyser which I personally didn't find it to be too fascinating. And many other look-alike geysers and hotsprings, and geyser and hotspring, yada yada. And did I mention we did hell lots of driving covering Utah, Idaho, Wyoming and Montana? On a night drive across the park to get back to our cabin, we almost hit 2 bisons that stood in the middle of the road amid darkness. Luckily Clive reflected pretty well and saved us (from trouble) and that 2 bovine creatures that weighted tons. All in all, Yellowstone is definitely one of its kind but I would hesitate to rate it higher than my other favorite hiking experiences such as half-dome at Yosemite or those Slot Canyons in Utah. The fun time spent with good friends over that long-weekend was priceless nonetheless.

Ran 10 miles on treadmill today and my legs are soring now. I have been doing 5-8 miles regularly but a slight increase in mileage is quite challenging. 6 weeks to go!
