And the almighty China continued its winning streak to lift Thomas Cup, beating us in semi-final and Indonesia in final with style. May the best team/player wins, I am actually okie with China winnning. Nevertheless I am viewing LinDan as a different player now, in a derogative way. I didn't think the dance move he did on the court after beating Dato Lee was arrogant, it's his way of celebrating, just like soccer players do all sort of stupid stuff when they score a goal. It's this particular one that pissed me off and had me questioned his sportsmanship. Oh well, hopefully Malaysia can do better next time. The Thomas cup craze should subside pretty soon while World Cup is heating up. When was the last time I watch a soccer match?

Watched 2 movies over the weekends:

Iron Man 2 was a let down. No doubt the first episode has set a pretty high standard to match. but this time the story is a tad boring. The chicks aren't that hot either:( Personally I think Fantastic 4, X-men or even GI Joe are slightly better. And it looks like Iron Man 3 is in the pipeline already.

I watched this right after IM2. Yeah I know I am cheap, whatever. Man, this fire-sputtering little dragon blew away Iron Man! The storyline is great and characters are much cuter than the chicks in IM2. I like it better than those animations that sold well like Up or Wall-E. The 3D effect is pretty. This is the 2nd 3D movie that I had watched, the first one being Avatar, which is superb. Guess 3D is a trend to stay! Samsung now has a 3D 50-some inch LED HDTV on retail now. It would be nice if we can do without the special glasses.

Watch this at home. Watching romance alone? Nah, it wasn't a cheesy type of love story. Not too bad, no surprises yet I enjoy it. Stole a line in the movie that I thought was meaningful: "Funerals are an important ritual in the grieving process. They don't just recognize that a life has ended. The recognize that a life was lived."

Ran a 8 miles today. 2 more months to go. I realize it's quite hard to increase the mileage. Am I on track in terms of preparation?
