1) When i was in sophomore/junior year, there was a girl from Thailand that stayed next door to my apartment in Fairfax. She was a music major and I remember once she told me her dream is to become a singer. Today she is a lead singer of a jazz band signed by Warner Music Thailand.

2) My hongkong roommate while I was interning in Qualcomm San Diego, has always wanted to start his own business. He first worked for Bloomberg in New York after graduation. Last year around, he followed his heart, quited Bloomberg and started his own website business in Hong Kong. It wasn't fully running yet the last time I chatted with him, and hopefully his business will take off successfully soon. All the best!

3) There was a very young and smart logic designer from Berkeley when I first joined Marvell CPU group. He seems to know so much and always appears confident. 2 years ago somehow he did a internal transfer to marketing group. A few days back he was on our intranet front page, and his title says "Director of Technical Marketing". He is only a year older than me.

Success stories, plenty of them, be it entrepreneurship, becoming a celebrity, corporate ladder climbing and so on. Where's mine?

Oh well, i had a pretty good increment following my last year performance review, which was rated as "exceeding expectation". I am a good engineer at least:)
