Back in the US. Everything's back to normal, for me. As for my family, i hope things get better as time goes by. All signs show dad is recovering, at least physically. He seems to know what's going on, or so we thought. He still barely speaks, presumably his speech ability is affected. It's heart-wrenching seeing him unable to express himself whenever he tries to. As he recalls stuff he gets frustrated at times. Take it easy dad. Time will heal.

2 things:
1) always keep nearby hospital emergency phone number in handy. You never know when you gonna need it. Don't count on the general 999 hotline which goes through operator. Delay delay delay, that's the last thing you want in the case of emergency. My sister told me horrible story about 999 hotline.

2) I don't have good impression on General Hospital to begin with. Don't get me wrong. I have heard good thing about them, especially when it comes to advanced medical equipment. However I am not sure how efficient they are in handling emergency. Or maybe there are just too many emergency cases they need to handle (benefit of the doubt). So another option would be private hospital, synonymous of astronomical medical charges. Health insurance is indispensable. And I remind myself that I still don't have my medical card:( Make sure the coverage is enough too. Insurance agents that try to sell you policy, aren't that evil actually. Or is the private hospital the evil?
