Brought a friend to Sunnyvale Toyota dealer where he picked up a pre-owned toyota matrix. All the shiny cars at the parking lot are soliciting my buying desire:( A pre-owned 350z, which costs a fortune in Malaysia, is up for $14k only. How I wish cars in Malaysia is equally affordable. And of course I am not talking about Proton. Indeed I think our national car industry is a joke. Discounting the import tariff set on foreign cars, our national car is not exactly "affordable" per se. While a brand new honda civic is only $18K (~RM62K) in the US, why is a standard Proton waja sold for almost the same price in Malaysia? Aren't locally-assembled cars supposedly saving us money? And surely we don't want to compare the build quality with honda or toyota, do we?
Watched a few great movies lately.
1) A Time Traveler's wife -- interesting sci-fi romance story based on novel.
2) Law abiding citizen -- somewhat reminds me a lot of Saw. Less gory but the plot is equally good, maybe better
3) Avatar -- first time watching a full-length 3D movie. Awesome even i went in with a relatively high expectation. Beat 2012 hands down.
And a good video doesn't have to be big-cast high-budget to put a smile on me. Wongfu did it many times:
