Marvell stock on steroid. It's now at 2-year high of $18.60, even higher than before the economy slump. ESPP has never been better than this, we are talking about 250% return (if i sell it today)! I used to lament how low pay and cheap Marvell is but all of the sudden, it doesn't look that bad anymore:) Having said that, I am not too optimistic about it keeping this price for too long, and therefore sold some ESPP purchased 2 years ago. Let's not be too greedy.

An overdue obligatory post of my visit to 2 national parks over the thanksgiving weekend. Zion National Park and Death Valley National Park. Long journey by car, in the end of the weekend we drove for more than 1000 miles. And did I mention i got this crazily cheap car rental deal of $42 inclusive tax from hotwire? And it ain't cheapo car, it's a Mazda6. Sweet.

Strictly speaking it wasn't a hiking trip, it's more like leisure sight-seeing tours. Most of the time we were driving around, especially in Death Valley. Personally I don't find Zion National Park interesting. The view is pretty much like grand canyon, reddish rock everywhere. We did a relatively short hike which didn't really offer good views. I was a bit disappointed. Or maybe we didn't really get to the main attraction of it.

Death valley is more fun relatively. Being one of the largest national parks, Death valley has so much to offer, ranging from the lowest elevation point in North America (282 ft below sea), large salt pan, sand dunes, to hued-rocky mountain and volcano crater. The park is huge that we pretty much just drove from one attraction point to another. So much to see but so little time. Should have abandoned Zion and spent 2 days in Death Valley. All in all it's a good budget trip. Now which national park to go next?

16 days to go. And never in my life had i felt so much anticipation for a coming trip. It's gonna be great. We both deserve one.
