I hate pimples. Not that I care so much about my look but it's so damn irritating. But popping one is fun, especially the big one with white-creamy pus built over a few days (gross!). The relief feels like killing a big boss in video game lol. But seriously, why pimples don't go away from me after, err 14 years?

Anyhow, my primary schoolmate visited me over the weekend so we decided to go for a hiking trip in Lassen Volcanic national park. As the name suggested, it's a dormant volcanic area. I call it a not-so-successful hiking trip with a 4-hour up-north drive just to discover that most areas in the national park were closed due to snow. Should have called the park beforehand. We didn't even make it to bumpass hell, the major geothermal feature of the park. Nevertheless we managed to see some boiling muds and smokes, which smells sulphuric. Not a bad experience.

We had to abandon the 2-day plan in the park. So the next day we visited a bridge in Redding, a freaking 23-million dollar bridge in the middle of nowhere. The floor is made of glasses and it's supposedly the biggest Sundial bridge (whatever that means) in the world, which isn't that big in my opinion. A waste of money I think but interesting architecture nonetheless.

Headed back to San Francisco after that. Stopped by Point Reyes State Park. Its view never fails to amaze first-timer so my friend enjoyed it a lot. That pretty much concluded my weekend trip. And look what I got here, could be much better with a bigger zoom lens:)
