Read this in Time magazine:

"Many women who do not dress modestly lead young men astray, corrupt their chastity and spread adultery in society, which increases earthquakes" - Hojatoleslam Kazem Sedighi, an Iranian Muslim Cleric, blaming women for a spate of recent temblors around the globe.

Plain stupidity. So many jokers in this world. And I saw a similar one today.

Recent random testing found a bug in SL2 that hangs the system. As we are nearing the tape-out deadline, this bug raises quite a bit of concern among the higher management. Our (in)famous VP called for a meeting to discuss about this and a possibility of ECO or software workaround, and we knew we would be grilled.

It was a good 2 hour lecture. VP had some valid points. It's a SL2 bug, my boss took responsibility for that, and it's all cool. Nevertheless, he wasn't entirely reasonable. I found it hard to tolerate his harsh statement/comment, which pretty much belittled our effort and made us look stupid, as if the it was a simple mistake that shouldn't happen in the first place. Give us a break. The design wasn't as simple as ABC. And we are just ordinary human, our mind can only handle so much. That's why we need verification team to back us up, to which he opposed by saying something like "No, it has nothing to do with verification team. Whenever there's a bug it's the designer fault because you created it. Smart designer can simulate logic in their head and find the problem, so why can't you?".

Hello! simulate in your mind? You think we are designing 8-bit ALU controller in the 80s? How's your statement different from the Iranian dude's one?
