"Now if you are going to win any battle you have to do one thing. You have to make the mind run the body. Never let the body tell the mind what to do. The body will always give up. It is always tired in the morning, noon, and night. But the body is never tired if the mind is not tired." - George S. Patton, U.S. Army General, 1912 Olympian
"We are different, in essence, from other men. If you want to win something, run 100 meters. If you want to experience something, run a marathon." - Emil Zatopek, 1952 Olympic Marathon gold medalist

I have been thinking about this for a while. So here I come, San Francisco Full Marathon. July 25 2010. 26.2 Miles. Registration fees: $130. Experience: Priceless (if I can actually finish it:)
Finishing a marathon is an accomplishment that less than 1% of people in the world can say they have achieved. I was reading the inspirational story of why people are joining marathon, apart from wanting to be cool and all that, one of the main reason that motivates people to run is to show strong support for their love ones who are battling cancers etc. Salute! and my prayer to all the cancer patients. Live strong.
So what motivates me? oh yeah, it potentially saves me a couple thousand dollars if I manage to finish one, right? (insider's joke)
