For the past 2 months I have been working on MMU tlb, trying to improve its performance by implementing hit-under-miss feature. Everything looks good in simulation. Regression test are passing while random testing finds no issue either. Logic wise I don't think it's that complicated anyway. I confidently checked-in the code only to find out that linux doesn't boot. And it comes the most dreadful moment of a logic engineer: FPGA debugging. Long story short, we kinda gave up by turning off the hit-under-miss feature, pretty much reverting back to the old behavior. Needless to say I feel kinda stupid. Good thing that my manager didn't give me too much pressure.
Unlucky events normally come in parallel. I lost a package. Stupid fedex left it at doorstep. This reminds me of the time when I thought they lost my EAD card in mail. Not a good experience:(
And stock market is going south. This is definitely a bad week for me. Oh well, shit happens always. Smile:)
