I had 4 roommates back in Uitm. 3 Chinese and 1 Malay.

The one who was closest to me plays piano and violin well. I remember him complaining about studying engineering because his real passion is in music. Upon completing his engineering degree from Michigan Ann Arbor, he returned to Malaysia and started pursuing his dream in music. Now he is an engineer by day, composer by night, and had been featured on newspaper a few times. Congratulations buddy!

The smartest among us is this chinese dude from Sarawak. For some of us, Uitm days were stressful ones because there were many smart people out there. He belongs to the smarter group. At first we thought he is one cocky guy. While the musically-inclined roommate and I were studying hard, this dude was busy dating another uitm sarawakian girl and still scored better than us in exam. He was hacking through some advance CS stuff when we were still struggling with our first C++ hello-world. Today, he is a CS Phd student in UIUC, and still dating the same sarawakian girl.

Another chinese roommate is essentially a japanese in disguise. Almost everyday he blasted his speakers with some japanese music, primarily from this Japanese band named GLAY, to an extent that we got really annoyed. He definitely is a Jap fanatic. Now he is working in Tokyo Japan. I guess he is a happy man now.

The malay roommate is one good hardworking malay. We used to be very closed. He is a doctor now.

Time flits. It has been 7 or 8 years since I know them. Today my ex-roommates had somewhat fulfilled their dreams. While my life is pretty good now, what goal did I achieve? Or did i even have one?

this dude has a dream, but he probably tries too hard
