Rumor confirmed. My manager is going to leave for a start-up. He is a good manager in general although personally i think he could have been more aggressive in terms of fighting for projects etc. From the way he talked we all know that he is not very happy with the upper management and maybe that's the main reason he decided to go. Since i started working a year ago I have seen at least 10+ people, including 3 managers, left and it's pretty clear that it has some way to do with the management here. It sucks that right now our group doesn't have a manager and doesn't really own any project. I am not too worry about getting laid-off. However if there isn't any new project then I will probably be maintaining/supporting my current work which is getting mundane. I want something new to work on!
