A colleague is leaving the company. Once he is gone I will be the youngest guy in the group. But the funnier thing is my previous manager, who left Marvell about a year ago, will be back in the group again next monday. Looks like the start-up he joined doesn't perform too well. My current manager used to be his subordinate and I wonder how the organization/arrangement will be. Interesting.

Hiked Mission Peak last Saturday. We were stupid enough to start the hike around 12pm. It was crazily hot. The barren landscape didn't help. Literally there isn't any shades along the trail. We kinda underestimate the difficulty of it.

Despite the sunblock i put on, both my arms got burnt badly. Mission peak is probably the highest point around Fremont area. Certain slopes are quite steep. A pretty tiring 3 hours, 5 miles hike I would say. The view isn't that great but it has this interesting pole on the peak of the mountain. Overall a fun hike! Well, I can't think of any previous hikes which wasn't enjoyable. No qualms in claiming hiking as one of my favorite activities:)

Had a visiting friend from Malaysia. Not particularly closed to this dude back in high school but I have known him since standard #2 so it has been a good 18 years. I called up another primary schoolmate and we had a meet-up at San Jose Jazz Festival. Certainly a good catching up.

It would be even better if I can appreciate the music. Lotsa people dancing on the street with the festive spirit. It seems to me that everyone kinda know some basic dance move. I always feel awkward about dancing, be it in a night club or some formal/informal occasions like wedding banquet. Is there a way to get over this awkward feeling and dance away? I bet it's like karaoke. Some people just feel weird to sing in front of other people.

I try not to be too mushy on my blog. But love really works like magic. Despite the long-distance we are pretty insane about each other. I certainly didn't expect that when i left Malaysia in July. Good for us I guess. And remember what you promised to me this morning, because I will.
