A malaysian friend is heading home end of this month for good. He said there's not much feeling about going home. Honestly, if not for the love ones, it is really not that exciting. Let's face it, what is so proud of being a Malaysian? Our political situation? economy growth? education system? healthcare? Food Maybe. Sad but true. And brain drain problem never get solved. For now I am definitely not in any position to comment on this, as I am supposedly one of those "brains". Therefore I keep my mouth shut whenever my friends here discuss about this issue. Oversea Malaysians tend to complain a lot about the Malaysian government. Particularly I hate those "smart scholars" who posted FB messages that highlight the pathetic state of our country. Mind you, catchy facebook messages normally create chain of responses. Please, if you have decided to stay permanently in the US, I don't see your point of thrashing the govenrment. It just doesn't help. Everyone in Malaysia has the right to protest, but sorry you don't.

my trustworty NB that accompanies me through various runs and hikes

Finished SF half marathon on Sunday in 2 hour 26 min. The run course starts from Golden Gate Park, located at the west of SF city, all the way to finish at the Bay Bridge in the east. One of my running mates clocked 2 hour 3 min. Amazing. My target was actually set at 2 hour 20 min but then again I didn't push myself hard enough. Too many water stop and picture taking. Well, at least there's improvement from my last year run. Overall a very fun event. My friend and I are seriously thinking about full marathon next year. Shall we?

I was reading my diary written 7 years ago. Lots of silly thought and memory flash back. It's funny how things turn out today. I am glad that you were there, and you are here:)
