 Looking back 2024:

1. As David puts it, as long we got through the year we should count it as blessing. For that I am thankful.

2. Officially commit another investment - Bayan Suite nearby QueensBay.

3. The plan to have my will written - failed

4. The plan to procure a columbarium (vocab unlocked!) - failed

5. Started trading HK stocks, was doing quite okie in the middle of the year. All in all, still on positive ground.

6. YTL and YTLPower, shares that I have been holding on for years, staged a epic comeback.

7. As for other investment is really so-so. I still don't really learn the art of cutting losses. Speaking of that, I don't know why Genting stock in 2024 can perform worse than Covid-era.

8. Oh well, giant like Intel can perform like shit so Genting can take solace on that.

9. Exit partial investment from Public Mutual and total exit from ASNB.

10. Overall financial status should be relatively okie but probably can be better if I try harder (somehow).

11. Health report card - far from ideal. Cholesterol is higher than previous but the good thing is ECG suggests heart failure possibility is low.

12. With (10) and also trying to get back in shape, I have started to build muscle by doing bicep training. Let see if this can last. I commit to cut down sugary stuff as well, i.e. reducing "teh peng" consumption.

13. High BP is in check, under medicine of course. This is worth celebrating as well.

14. Family trip to Bangkok and Hardrock hotel stay were nice for both old and young ones.

15. Best purchase of the year:  Xiaomi X20+ cleaning robot.

16. Installed Solar Panel - rarely I am an early adopter for anything so this is considered early.

17. Went to ShenZhen and met up friend in HK. It was a nice get away!

18. Dealt with few high profile prospect. Participated in tender exercise. If things goes well probably could expect more bonus (next year).

19. Work wise - continue to grow the team in a slow and steady manner. No major hiccup for any releases. Done E-Invoice on time which is an achievement by itself.

20. Generation gap with new hires / interns. 20 year old difference !  Relationship with existing members are good I believe. Got an ex-colleague to join the team again which is definitely a win in terms of recruitment.

21. Company is elected as nationwide best 50 SME or better known as E50.

22. Some stuff that I fantasize a lot which is best kept secret, indeed came true (and multiple times)!

23. Parents are definitely showing more sign of aging. At the same time, kids are growing fast. Baby Yaa is no longer a baby but a noisy little one that I pamper a lot, knowing that she is the last baby we ever have (barring any accident but who knows).

24. Joo is stepping into pre-teen era. I consciously refrain myself from scolding her over minor stuff.

25. Nee is generous in personality but also someone who may be too generous at spending, perhaps she doesn't have the concept of money yet.

26. Wife, my partner of life, can be both lovely and scary at times (to kids). Emotional stability or control could be something both of us can work on, as I have seen our tolerance level has gone down as age increases, which leads to heated argument sometimes. Having said that, argument is not all bad as it is an avenue to release the pressure, so that the relation won't blow off.

27. Social circle wise, hasn't been growing at all. Not that I am expecting it to grow though. I hope to go on a bro-trip sometime in the future nevertheless.
