  • Completed 3 Android programs so far at work. Mobile is the trend to stay so it's cool to get my hand dirty on it. Learnt quite a bit a long the way. Thanks to CMU education for being software-centric that makes my career switch to software much easier.
  • Chinese New Year primary school friends gathering at my house. More than 20 years of friendship and going strong.
  • Wedding dinner date is set on December 27. Wedding date on December 28. Haven't done much on preparation because it's still far away. Nonetheless thank you dear for all the effort so far.
  • Seriously thinking on what to do with the funds that I transfer back from the US stock market. It's not really a huge sum but it is not right to put that amount purely in fix deposit alone. Gotta do something about it.
  • I reckon it's time to top up my health insurance, just that I keep procrastinating it.
  • Sulu army invaded Sabah, Malaysia. Wtf is Sulu Army? Apparently they are claiming Sabah as theirs so it's absurd. For all my life I always thought Malaysia army/police force never has to fight a war. Salute to those who are defending the country now!
  • Went to CeBIT, a IT trade fair held in Hannover, Germany, together with uncle KK. The scale of the fair was much greater than my initial expectation. It's definitely an eye-opener. Chinese booths are ubiquitous so it's a sign that China will only get stronger in the foreseeable future.
  • On the way to Hannover we had a long stopover at Amsterdam Schiphol Airport. To kill time we went to town center. It's my second time actually. Uncle KK is very into history and we visited Amsterdam Historical Museum. Certainly a learning experience.
  • Hannover city is not a big city. Apart from the CeBIT fair, we visited Hannover city hall which houses an interesting elevator that has bending way to the top. You actually feels vertigo on the way up/down of the bend/tilt shaft. Weather was actually very cold the day we went to the top. A few days later Europe zone had snow storms that closed down some of the airports. Luckily we left Europe a day earlier.
  • After Hannover we traveled to Berlin via train. Met up with sister and pang. Snowy weather and it felt just like Christmas in the middle of March. Some of the places that we visited:
    • Bundestag (German Parliament)
    • Brandenburg Gate
    • Jewish Memorial Berlin
    • Berlin Wall
    • Neues Museum that houses bust of Nefertiti, whom I have no idea of prior the visit. Pardon my poor history. I am reading more now.
    • Pergamon Museum
  • Ate lots of sausage, and pork, and more sausage and pork in Germany.
