Trying to revive my habits of writing a blog, at this moment of the beginning of Snake Year. Let me quickly jot down stuff before I forgot...
1) The beginning of this Chinese New Year was smeared by the leaving of Aunty Patty. She left for a better place. Every now and then if you feel like life is giving you a lemon, think about a cancer patient. I salute everyone of them.
2) Visited Krabi with gf last valentine's day. It was a fun trip. And I need to learn how to swim properly (will I ever learn?). Valentine's will be here in 4 day and this time around I will be in Setiawan attending Ding's wedding.
3) Bought a Honda Accord. Even with REP tax exemption, I am still paying RM100k for that. Oh well, at least it's my first brand new car. My previous Mirage and SV650 were both used item. Also bought a Honda City for mum, making use of my 2nd REP tax privilege. I won a 40 inch HDTV from Honda too. Woot!
4) Made a career switch. I quit Intel July 2012. Paid back over RM100k for breaking contract. It's certainly not an impulsive decision. Joined Lintramax in August. ByeBye computer hardware. Intel is a good place nevertheless.
5) Started Lintramax Penang office. With guidance from uncle KK, everything seems to work out fine. My sense of software is getting back: 15111, 15211, 15213, 15395, 18349...
6) I still think of starting my own stuff once in a while. A lot of idea in mind, just don't know where to start. Quiting Intel is definitely the first step nonetheless.
7) Brought parents to Cameron Highland in July 2012. It's good to spend time with them. Dad is like a kid nowadays.
8) Solved 80% of a rubik's cube. Fine, i did it by following youtube instruction but still...
9) Malacca Aunty Xiao-lan passed away. RIP. I will forever remember your jovial laughter.
10) Visited Tibet. Checked off an item on bucket list. It was definitely an eye-opening trip. Personally I think the view and scenery wasn't the best that I have seen, but I quite enjoyed its cultural experience. Saw the tip of Mt. Everest. Meh... And no high altitude sickness too, yay!
11) Visited Cheng Du as a stopover city on Tibet trip. Rabbit head is the highlight.
12) Sold all my stocks in US. Officially off the stock market. I am waiting for the next downtown patiently.
13) Wrote my first android app. I am doing the third one at the moment. Fun stuff.
14) Bill and Eujern visited Penang. Good to have frens from US here.
15) Bought a diamond ring and pop the question. So I am off the market now. You too.
16) Visited Indonesia the first time. Medan specifically.
