Got this little souvenir at work. I would prefer something more useful but it's still better than nothing.

I am relatively free ever since MMP3 RTL freeze. Until the upper guys figure out what the next project is, our team probably won't have too much to work on apart from supporting the on-going designs. Going forward we are probably looking into virtualization extension with core frequency up to 2GHz, together with multithreading in multicore system. All these sound pretty exciting isn't it? Indeed, ARM application processor has evolved so much in terms of performance and functionality, to a point that it's rivaling x86 processor. Smartphone/tablet is a trend to stay for a long foreseeable future, and that's where ARM processor is dominating now.

On a related note, the recently launched Blackberry Torch powered by Marvell ARM CPU, is only capable of running 600 MHz. Subsequently analysts say it's a "wimpy" phone. No question, we were to blame for that. If Marvell wants a chunk of the pie, we better come out with something that runs over 1GHz quick. RIM is definitely losing its market share to Android and iphone. The collateral effect is hurting Marvell revenue too. So what will Marvell earning release look like tomorrow? Should have sold all my ESPP when it was hitting $22, shouldn't I?
