I thought only in malaysia the air smells like smoke every now and then because of Indonesia's forest fire. It happens here too. These days the air quality is really bad, thanks to the forest fire that caught on various location around bay area. Damn, the environment is really screwed up! It seems like people nowadays are much more aware of environmental issue, like start taking public transport etc, but i think the high gas price (and hence money) is the biggest reason, not that one really cares about carbon emission anyway. Speaking of gas price, it shows no sign of stopping and it just hit record 140/barrel today and sending stocks down like crazy. The market is at its lowest since i entered the game, and i bet the worse yet to come. With high gas price, stumbled stock market, and soon-to-increase apartment rent, my paycheck looks much smaller than ever. Worse still, i am eyeing this:
