Some ppl are just very passionate about what they do. A friend in cmu is so into linux that he is spending his whole summer, staying home and forgoing internship (and the $) just to read linux kernel source code. Everytime i met him, his appearance becomes more CS-geek-like, i.e. not shaved, long hair etc. This explains why he is going to work in vmware. And probably only hardcore company like this can satisfy his obsession for operating system. I imagine one day his face will replace the penguin logo on linux:) Anyway, This person that i am talking about might possibly become my housemate when he comes over to CA. Pretty scary huh?
4th of July. Celebrate for transformers! The robots didn't fail me even though i went in with extremely high expectation. Well some said it's boring coz you can pretty much guess the flow, not much surprise etc. Come on, it's just a cartoon movie made for those born in the 80s. The CG is good, some scenes are funny and not to mention the sizzling hot + car-engine-savvy actress. I myself don't know much about engine and it is shameful if a girl knows better than I do. The movie sticks to your mine too. I started imagining my car being bumblebee and whenever we saw truck wheelers, i thought of optimus prime in disguise. How fun! Go watch it.
A malay friend went to qatar this summer to marry a local girl. A total surprise for us. They only know each other for less than a year when he went to Qatar cmu campus for 1 semester. At the age of 24, I still can't see or not able to handle a picture of marriage. Not that I can find one for myself either. I am not that kind of person who can easily fall to someone but if I do, it really takes me a while to fade the feeling. It sucks I know. Realizing that I might be late in relationship, I asked a friend on how she thought about me. In the end her answer was like "appearance is okie, immature and no future planning, currently should just go for college girls coz working girls won't fall for you". Is that true? That's a pretty sad statement. No comment on immature but at least I know I do have some future plan in mind. Anyhow, a friend in malaysia sent me the sweetest message which totally made my day. Nothing I could say at this point but i really appreciate it.
