Finally settled down. Moving is a not the real hassle, but the cleaning/setting up part that takes time. A few trips to IKEA and walmart and still realized that i forgot to get something important. Then it takes couple of days to assemble the table, bookcase, bed frame etc. IKEA makes it look so simple to install the stuff but it takes me hours and hours "screwing" around. The worst part is towards the finishing moment, you found out that one small piece of the earlier part was placed wrongly, and then u unscrewed piece by piece all over again. Trust me it happens although it looks really easy.

Except for paying higher rents and being responsible for all the bills, staying alone isn't that bad after all. The feeling of owning the whole place is good. I consider staying like this. Nonetheless, having all the freedom in the world, it forms ugly habits in me, like sleeping with lights on, leaving dishes in sink, placing shoes all over etc:) Life has been kinda monotonous these days. Weekdays for working and weekend passes like nothing. I need to make more friends. Getting know new friends is actually easy for me. The hard part is to actually keep in touch after making acquaintance. I am not that kind of ppl who are keen to call up people for lunch/dinner. I usually think that there must be a purpose/reason to ask people out, especially for female friends. Isn't it weird to just call a girl that you met like once for a dinner, albeit with pure intention? You tell me. The problem is if you don't keeping up, then knowing this friend by name is equivalent to none. Well it might sounds trivial for others but this kind of situation bothers me sometimes.

Plans: opening trading account, hitting gym regularly, checking out squash court, and getting a motorcycle license and MAYBE a motorcycle. Yeah I am seriously thinking about it. Motorcycle to me, is like something you do when you are young. If not now then when? Ninja 250cc is actually a starter bike here. 500cc ~1000cc is normal. Isn't that exciting? hahaha. Anyway, my mum will object for sure if she ever read this. I know she doesn't so it will be funny when one day I call her, and hey mum, I got myself a bike!!!

H1-B problem. Every year US immigration grants 60k of H1-B type visa for non-citizens to work in US. The application starts on April and normally the quota filled up by May or June, and then they stopped receiving applications. Guess what, on April 2nd this year, the immigration already received 160K application. It's almost like 3 times the quota limit. So the government decided to use lottery system. Dang! 1 out of 3 application will be processed and the rest, bye bye. For advanced degree holders (with master or phd qualification), the applications is considered in an extra pool of 20k quota. Hopefully mine will be fine. I am like cursed for having all this immigration problem: the 911 attacks and visa delay for 6 months, special registration for being from a islamic country, EAD card problem and now H1-B. Endless.
