My blog these days are all job-search related. Marvell officially rejected me for my prev interviewed position but they flying me there next week AGAIN for another position. This is 3rd time on-site at Marvell within 6 months, a record-holder probably. It is a shame if i couldn't get it. But this time, they decided not to waste hotel money on me, so they gonna fly me early morning from Pittsburgh, interview me in the afternoon and send me back right after. Heck travelling east to west and back again in 24 hours. Because of this interview I have to turn down Motorola on-site at Chicago.
On the other hand, AMD phone interview went well and they offer second round at Austin, Texas. Will be travelling there in 2 weeks time. Many ppl actually recommend working in Austin, i guess it's not as bad as i think, but the weather is a still big concern for me. Partly because of AMD interview, coupled with 741, I am so into computer architecture these days... then the question is what can I do with comp archi in malaysia? Intel?
There are also phone interviews request from nVidia and Cirrus Logic. Oh man I am lucky enough that nvidia still call me up... haha. Cisco called too but too bad they need ppl urgently and cant wait till next year, so it is scrapped. Friends around trying to hook me up with ATI, Cisco... man looking at the list, they are all big names.
Btw, I promised many friends that i gonna treat dinner if i got an offer. I'll keep my word, even to those back in malaysia.
mooncake festival tonight. First time bought mooncake in US in 4 yrs. Now I think of it, not that i really celebrate it back home. Jay's album is out for so long but i just start listening now, i think the old ones are better. But there are still a couple songs that i play on and on:
